Ingredients:
3 cups pili nuts, blanched and ground
3 egg yolks
2 cups sugar
1 tsp. lemon or calamansi juice
2 cups evaporated milk
1/2 cup bread crumbs
1 cup water
Procedure:
- Put pili nuts, sugar, milk and water in a vat.
- Cook over medium heat for about 15 minutes until thick.
- Add egg, lemon or calamansi juice, and bread crumbs.
- Cook for another 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Scoop small amounts and place separately in small paper wrappers.
- When the candies have been wrapped, put then in the oven for 10 minutes.
